What to do when someone doesn't like you...
We've all had those times where we find out someone doesn't like us. Maybe it's someone we've been crushing on, maybe it's a "friend", or maybe it's a co-worker. In any case, if any of y'all are like me, (aka people pleaser) then you know it just absolutely stinks when you find out someone doesn't like you. Today at work, I had one of my co-workers (who is also a christian) come and tell me in confidence, that he accidentally caught one of my co-workers (the same co-worker who I've been helping at close to clean up every night) talking about me to another co-worker. Why did my one co-worker tell me this? No, my co-worker wasn't trying to gossip. My co-worker was just trying to give me a heads-up, and let me know how she really feels. Did this upset me? Of course. Did I get a little angry? A little. Then, I remembered something. How much in one day does God show me grace and mercy? Shouldn't I in turn show my co-worker the same? Heck yes. Jesus loves me today, tomorrow, and forever. He loves me unconditionally. What a better way to live out the Gospel, than to love on someone who doesn't deserve it? (sound familiar?!) Today made me realize just how far I've come in my walk with the Lord, and how much farther I still have to go. The one thing I know? There is no other place I'd rather be, than in step with the Lord.
