Blurred lines? Abide in Christ!

By now, I feel like most of us have heard that oh-so-catchy Robin Thicke song, Blurred lines. I have heard this song every day...three times a day, for about a week straight. (or so it seems) The last time I heard it, I really focused on the words, (I'm a words person) and it hit me. What are my blurred lines? Why do we have blurred lines? How do we "fix" our blurred lines?!

We have blurred lines because of where our eyes become fixed. When our eyes become fixed on things other than the Lord, our vision becomes blurred. Our "lines" of right and wrong become blurred. Our choices and thinking becomes blurred. So what do we do about that? Well, if any of y'all are like me, sometimes I turn on my music, I sing, I dance, sometimes go for a run. The one thing we should always do, that's always there for us, is the Gospel. Run to that.

The more and more we immerse ourselves in truth, the less blurred the lines become. It sounds so simple, because it actually is. We just complicate things for ourselves, when the answer is right in front of us. The one thing we can always turn to, the one thing that is our guide, is the Gospel. Read it, breathe it, live it, love it.

There it is for y'all. Short and sweet! Go on and have a blessed week!
Psalm 16:8
I keep my eyes always on the Lord
With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

  1. Very true! Keep your eyes on Jesus and everything that has no eternal value will be the things that become blurred. And that's a good thing. Good word Andee. Thanks for sharing.
